These terms are the agreement between you and Kamer Life ("we", "us"), run by the Kamer Life team in Buea, Cameroon. They apply when you visit kamerlife.com, play the game or buy anything in it. By creating an account or playing, you accept these terms, our Privacy Policy and our Refund Policy. If you do not accept them, please do not use Kamer Life.
1. The service
Kamer Life is a free 3D multiplayer life game played in the web browser. The game is fiction: places are inspired by Buea, but people, businesses and events in the game are not real. We keep improving the game, so features, items and prices can change. We try to keep the game online at all times but cannot promise it will never be interrupted, for example for maintenance or network problems.
2. Who can play
- You must be 18 or older. Kamer Life is a game for adults.
- Before you play with an account, the game asks you to confirm your age and accept these terms and the rules. We keep the date you accepted.
- Every account is always in Street mode: the game has guns, shootouts and robberies, and other players can rob or shoot your character. You cannot switch it off.
- You may only use a Mobile Money account that is yours or that you are allowed to use.
3. Your account
- Choose a username that is not offensive and does not pretend to be someone else.
- Keep your password secret. You are responsible for what happens on your account. Tell us at once if you think someone else is using it.
- Your account is personal. You may not sell, rent or give it away.
4. Virtual currency and items
- The game uses a virtual currency called in-game FCFA. It has the same name as the real CFA franc, but it is not real money and has no value outside the game.
- In-game FCFA, passes and items cannot be withdrawn, cashed out, exchanged for real money or goods, or transferred outside the game. Sending in-game money to a friend inside the game is allowed; selling it or accounts for real money is not.
- When you buy in-game FCFA, a pass or an item, you get a personal, limited licence to use it in the game. You do not own it as property.
- Items like cars, guns or body armour in the game's street mode are virtual game props only.
- We may change how the game economy works (for example prices of in-game items), but we will not remove paid items from your account without a reason under these terms.
5. Buying with Mobile Money
- Purchases are optional. Prices are shown in CFA francs (XAF), all taxes included, on our prices page and in the game before you pay.
- Payments are made with MTN Mobile Money or Orange Money through our payment provider (currently Fapshi). You confirm each payment yourself on your phone or on the provider's secure page. Your operator may charge its own fees.
- Your purchase is delivered when the operator confirms the payment, usually within a minute. If a payment fails or is cancelled, you are not charged and nothing is delivered.
- Passes last 30 days from the payment. They are paid once and do not renew automatically. The daily in-game FCFA of a pass must be collected in the game each day; days not collected are not given later.
- Music promotion slots are booked for a set time. A paid slot is final; the song must respect section 6.
- Refunds are covered by our Refund Policy.
6. Rules of conduct
You agree not to:
- cheat, hack, use bots, exploit bugs or modify the game or its network traffic;
- harass, threaten, insult or bully other players, or post hateful, sexual, violent or illegal content;
- share other people's private information, or scam other players;
- upload music or content you do not have the rights to;
- buy with stolen money or someone else's Mobile Money account, or make a payment and then dispute it falsely;
- sell accounts, in-game FCFA or items for real money;
- try to break into our servers or disturb the service for others.
You also agree to follow the game's rules, shown when you accept these terms: play your character like a real person, don't attack or kill other players without a reason in the story, don't force outcomes on other players, don't use information from outside the game (WhatsApp, Discord, livestreams) to get ahead, don't log off or respawn to escape an arrest, robbery or fight, wait 15 minutes after dying before going back to the same fight, don't provoke the police just for a chase, and respect everyone in the chat.
Players can report others and we can remove content. Our team can warn, mute, kick, jail or ban players, for a time or permanently. If you break these rules, we may warn you, remove content, take back in-game money or items gained unfairly, or suspend or close your account. For a serious breach (fraud, payment abuse, cheating) we may do this without refund.
7. Your content
You keep the rights to what you write, post or upload. You allow us to store and show it in the game for as long as needed to run the service. You are responsible for your content and confirm you have the right to share it. We may remove content that breaks these terms or the law.
8. Our content
The game, its name, logo, code, 3D models, music and design belong to Kamer Life or its licensors. You may not copy, sell or re-use them outside normal play. Map data © OpenStreetMap contributors.
9. Closing your account
You can stop playing at any time and ask us to delete your account (see the Privacy Policy). Unused in-game FCFA and items are lost when an account is deleted and are not refunded. If we ever close the game for good, we will announce it in the game at least 30 days before.
10. Liability
The game is provided "as is". To the extent allowed by law, we are not responsible for indirect losses, for losses caused by other players, by your device or internet connection, or by the Mobile Money operators. Our total responsibility to you for a purchase is limited to the amount you paid for it. Nothing in these terms removes the rights consumers have under the law of Cameroon.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We change the date at the top and announce important changes in the game. If you keep playing after a change, the new terms apply; if you do not agree, you can stop playing and close your account.
12. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the law of the Republic of Cameroon. If you have a problem, please contact us first: most problems are solved quickly. If we cannot agree, the competent courts of Buea, Cameroon, will decide.
